How Did Our First Quarter Go?
Here’s an overview of the first quarter of the DMV real estate market.
Normally, Q1 is the slowest time of the year for us, as we’re just coming out of the holidays and housing isn’t the first thing on people’s minds. This year, however, was very different. In today’s review of the first quarter of the 2021 market, we’ll look back on the closed sales and average sales price stats from over the past three years for comparison. We are suffering from a shortage of inventory, which explains why home prices are rising.
Feel free to follow along in the video above or else use the timestamps below to navigate the discussion at your leisure:
0:48—Washington, D.C. closed sales and inventory
1:46—Alexandria closed sales
2:27—Fairfax/Fairfax City closed sales
2:55—Falls Church City closed sales
3:32—Arlington closed sales
4:20—Montgomery closed sales
